'The Nation' is a hard hitting local band that enjoys and performs an eclectic array of music.  The band has been together for seven years and has gone through many personnel changes, as well as performance changes.  We are currently back to the original power trio that the band started with.

Ross Murphy:  Ross plays guitar and performs lead and background vocals in the band.  As a fan of the latest and greatest guitar gear, his sound transformed the band from basic hard rock and roll to a well rounded machine.  With versatile sounds ranging from a clean tele to crunchy LP, super clean piezo acoustic to the guitar synth which can reproduce a myriad of synthesis from keys to horns to strings.

Jon Anderson:  Jon plays the bass guitar and performs background vocals in the band.  Jon comes at the crowd with a thousand watts of power out of high end fretted and fretless basses.

Sean Murphy:  I primarily play the drums in the band, and perform both lead and background vocals.  I also play guitar for a couple of sets while Ross takes over on the drums.  We enjoy the versatility of being able to switch off and it keeps things interesting for both ourselves and the crowd alike.
